Exam Prep with AI: Self-Check Questions, a Cheat Sheet, or a Plan

Here is the uncomfortable finding from decades of learning research: rereading your notes feels like revision and barely works. Testing yourself feels harder, feels worse, and works dramatically better.

The reason is simple. Rereading tells you what looks familiar. Testing tells you what you can actually retrieve - which is the only thing an exam measures.

The obstacle has always been that writing your own test questions requires knowing the answers, which is the thing you are trying to establish. This prompt removes that. Give it a topic and it produces ten self-check questions with short correct answers underneath, so you can cover the answers, try, and see immediately where the holes are.

It does two other formats too - a compressed cheat sheet, and a study plan for the days you have left. Run it in the AIMIKA chat in Text mode.

The output is ten questions with short answers underneath, which you use by covering the answers and being honest with yourself. Every question you fumble is a line on your revision list; every one you answer instantly is a topic you can stop worrying about. That sorting is the entire value, and it takes about ten minutes.

The same prompt does two other jobs. Swap the last line and you get a compressed cheat sheet of the things that are easy to forget, or a day-by-day study plan for however long you have left - which is usually less time than you would like.
